| You know furries are kinda despised by otherkin and dragons. Do you really think they deserve it? What have they done to deserve it? Post your thoughts here. |

| | I do not think they deserve it. I think it is more of a condescendence by otherkin that makes them seem so disliking. |

| (nods) I think it has all derived from the cons they attend to. |

| Its a shame they've all been tarred with the same brush but I can see why given the behaviour of some furries I've encountered.
I rarely comment on furry discussions because I feel I don't know enough about them to form a solid opinion. |

| See, furries aren't hated by dragons and otherkin. They're hated by pretty much everyone. I know someone who is a furry (in a kinda loose way) and he's bitched about by pretty much all my college friends...when he's not there. He's an OK guy (somewhat annoying, but then again so are a lot of my college mates). It's just furries have a bad reputation. _________________ Humanity cannot gain without first giving somthing in exchange. To obtain, somthing of equal value must be lost. People are like slinkies. Not good for anything, but they bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs! |

| | I usually don't mind them as people. My problem with them is that they mostly (note: mostly, not all) take their "other life" for wont of a better word too casually, which, to someone like me who takes my draconity as a very serious part of my life, is just irritatingly, as Shaylle said, condescending. |

| | Sadly, its stereotyping on everyones parts , plus a few really BAD exceptions that creates the bad reputation for furries. I myself think that for ANYBODY, furry, otherkin, etc., there is still a face behind the other side of the screen, that at least physically, is like yours , and should be respected just like you would someone in public. The Anominity of the interent, sadly, is a very large double-edged sword at times. |

| Heh. There isn't much use me posting here because I know very little about Furries, but despite ones belief, he/she should not be cast away, as it seems many Furries are after what i've read here.
Essentially on the surface, they are people whom, like us have a (What I call) true form. They shouldn't be turned away for what they believe in, because if so, then we should turn ourselves away for the same reason.
Heh. I made an opinion out of knowing NOTHING!!! |

| to some extent, I know little about furries my self, how ever I have seen the more positive side to them as quite a few of them are friends i have made.
Know i have seen and know of some of the more negative aspects that the "main-stream" seems to focuse on. |

| | When we are talking about furries in this context, are we talking about people who dress up in fursuits and go to furry conventions and mingling with other people wearing fursuits? |
